Rogosin is about to begin renovations at the Helmsley Medical Tower in Manhattan, which houses our Kidney Center as well as Home Peritoneal Dialysis and Home Hemodialysis Training Centers. The new space will be warmer and more welcoming for all who come here and will allow us to offer home dialysis training to more patients in one new, modern training center.
“The pandemic highlighted the value of home dialysis for patients struggling with kidney disease,” says Vesh Srivatana, MD, Director, Peritoneal Dialysis. “For many patients, home dialysis is more convenient and enables a better quality of life than having to go into a Center several times a week for treatment. However, extensive training and support is needed before patients can begin to perform dialysis at home. Rogosin already has one of the largest programs in the Northeast, and we want to help as many patients as possible choose home dialysis or transition to this model, if it is appropriate for them.” We will continue to keep you updated on the progress of renovations.
