Compliance and Privacy

Compliance is the ethical cornerstone of Rogosin’s culture. Having a strong foundation of compliance deters fraud, waste, and abuse, and leads to better care and more transparency. To be successful, we need to demonstrate compassion, integrity, ethics, and compliant behavior in everything we do. That is why Rogosin Institute has created the Code of Conduct that everyone at Rogosin is expected to abide by, and the Compliance Helpline, a tool to report concerns of non-compliant behavior or activities.

The Office of Corporate Compliance and Privacy provides guidance and education concerning patient confidentiality and the safeguarding of our patient’s protected health information at Rogosin Institute. The Privacy Office also oversees compliance with state and federal privacy requirements regarding the use and disclosure of patient information. The team applies Rogosin’s protections in privacy-related policies, designs internal workflows to maintain patient confidentiality, conducts privacy risk monitoring, and assesses new projects, vendors, and regulations. It is also responsible for matters governed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Civil Rights (OCR), such as reporting and responding to OCR requests. Our Privacy Office handles patient-related privacy inquiries and requests for accountings of disclosure. It also performs secondary reviews of release requests for archived medical and billing records and conducts privacy risk assessments and audits.

Conflicts of Interest

Rogosin encourages transparency in order to build a relationship of trust with our patients. Rogosin physicians are leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease and at times interact with pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology companies to improve patient care. As a patient, you have the right to know whether your provider has received anything of monetary value from these companies.

Certain information regarding such financial relationships may be found at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Open Payment website.

We encourage you to discuss any findings with your healthcare provider to help you make informed healthcare decisions. For any additional questions, please contact the Office of Corporate Compliance at (212) 746-1644 or by email at

For additional compliance or privacy questions or concerns, please contact the Compliance Helpline at 1-888-308-4435 or submit an online submission via the web-based link.
