STEVE OLSEN RUN FOR ROGOSIN – NOW A VIRTUAL 5K EVENT
In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Annual Steve Olsen Run for Rogosin will be held VIRTUALLY. The health and safety of our entire Rogosin community is of the utmost importance to us. Therefore, we have cancelled the in-person 5K event originally scheduled for Sunday, June 14th and instead invite you to join us for our first ever VIRTUAL 5K run/walk Friday, August 7th – Sunday, August 16th celebrating our hardworking & incredible staff for their dedication to support and care for our patients and their families, especially during these unprecedented times.
This event was founded by kidney transplant recipient Steve Olsen, owner of the legendary West Bank Café, whose personal commitment (and that of his many friends) to our cause makes this a one-of-a-kind event.
The Run for Rogosin provides information about prevention and risk factors for kidney disease and awareness for organ donation. Funds raised through this event will help Rogosin pursue critical research, treatment and prevention efforts for thousands of current and at-risk patients with kidney disease, as well as the millions with diabetes and hypertension. Over the years this event has raised over $ 1M and has steadily increased to over 250 participants each year.
We can’t be together in-person on June 14th but let’s celebrate together virtually from Friday August 7th – Sunday, August 16th!
